To cancel your social media scheduler subscription in Schedule For You, sign in as the workspace owner, open **Billing** from the workspace menu, and choose to cancel in the secure Stripe customer portal that opens. Cancelling stops your plan from renewing. The same Billing screen is where you change plan, downgrade or upgrade, update your card and download invoices.

This guide covers each of those tasks step by step, what to check before you switch from Studio to Solo, and how to cancel during the free trial so you aren't charged.

## Billing tasks at a glance

| What you want to do | Where | Who can do it |
|---|---|---|
| Cancel your subscription | Billing → Stripe customer portal | Workspace owner |
| Change plan (Solo or Studio) | Billing → Stripe customer portal | Workspace owner |
| Update your card | Billing → Stripe customer portal | Workspace owner |
| View or download invoices | Billing → Stripe customer portal | Workspace owner |
| Ask a billing question | Contact support | Anyone on the account |

Payments are handled by Stripe, a widely used payment provider. When you open Billing, you're taken to Stripe's secure customer portal for your subscription, and any card details are entered there.

### Only the workspace owner can manage billing

If you don't see Billing in the workspace menu, you're probably not the owner. Team members on the Studio plan can create and schedule posts, but billing stays with the owner. Ask the owner to make the change, or contact support if the owner has left your organization.

## How to cancel your subscription

1. **Sign in** to Schedule For You as the workspace owner.
2. **Open the workspace menu** and choose **Billing**.
3. **Wait for the Stripe customer portal** to open in your browser.
4. **Choose to cancel** your plan.
5. **Review the details** shown, then confirm.
6. **Keep a record.** Check that the portal shows your plan as cancelled, and save a screenshot for your records.

Cancelling stops your subscription from renewing, so you won't be charged for future billing periods. If you have questions about your account after cancelling, or about a charge, contact support rather than relying on assumptions.

### Before you cancel

A few minutes of preparation saves headaches later:

- **Check your calendar and queue** for posts scheduled for the coming days and weeks, and decide how you'll handle them.
- **Copy anything you want to keep**, such as captions you've drafted or evergreen posts you plan to reuse elsewhere.
- **Tell your team and clients** if they rely on approvals or client preview links in your workspace.
- **Consider downgrading instead.** If cost is the issue, moving from Studio to Solo may cover what you need.

## How to change plan

There are two plans, and both include unlimited posts:

| Plan | Price | Connected accounts | Team members | Priority support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $19/month | 15 | No | No |
| Studio | $59/month | 100 | Yes | Yes |

To switch between them:

1. Open **Billing** from the workspace menu.
2. In the Stripe customer portal, choose to **update or change your plan**.
3. Select **Solo** or **Studio**.
4. **Review the details** Stripe shows for the change, then confirm.

The new plan appears on your subscription in the portal once confirmed. For a full side-by-side of what each plan includes, see [pricing](https://scheduleforyou.com/pricing).

### How to downgrade your plan from Studio to Solo

Downgrading lowers your monthly cost, but Solo has tighter limits, so check these first:

1. **Count your connected accounts.** Solo includes 15 in total, across every platform. If you have more, decide which to remove from the Accounts screen.
2. **Review your team.** Team members are part of Studio. If colleagues or freelancers log in to schedule posts, plan how you'll work without them.
3. **Look at your workspaces.** If you manage many brands or clients, make sure the accounts you keep cover the ones you still need.
4. **Then switch plan** in Billing as described above.

If you're unsure how the change will affect your account, contact support before you confirm.

### How to upgrade from Solo to Studio

Upgrade when you need more than 15 connected accounts, want to invite team members, or want priority support. The steps are the same: Billing, change plan, choose Studio, confirm.

## How to update your card or view invoices

### Update your payment card

1. Open **Billing** from the workspace menu.
2. In the Stripe customer portal, find the payment method section.
3. Add the new card and make it the default.
4. Remove the old card if you no longer want it on file.

Update your card before it expires so renewals don't fail.

### View and download invoices

Invoices for your subscription are listed in the Stripe customer portal. Open one to view or download it for your accounts team or tax records.

## Cancelling during the 7-day free trial

Schedule For You has a 7-day free trial. A card is required to start it, and you aren't charged until day 8. If you decide it's not for you, cancel before day 8 through **Billing** in the workspace menu, using the same steps as above, and you won't be charged.

A few tips for trials in general:

- **Set a reminder** a day or two before the trial ends, so you have time to decide.
- **Test the workflows you'll actually use**: connect your accounts, schedule a week of posts, and try the calendar and queue. Our guide to [planning content in advance](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/plan-content-in-advance) suggests a routine to try.
- **Check the confirmation** after cancelling so you know it went through.

Once a trial ends without cancelling, your chosen plan starts. If you cancel, or a paid plan ends, the workspace drops to the Free plan: 3 connected accounts and up to 10 scheduled posts at a time, with the newest accounts past 3 paused until you upgrade.

## How to cancel any social media scheduler subscription

If you're cancelling a different tool, the process is usually similar:

1. **Find the billing or subscription settings.** They're often in an account or workspace menu, and may only be visible to the account owner or admin.
2. **Check where you subscribed.** If you paid through an app store on your phone, you usually have to cancel in that store's subscription settings, not in the tool itself.
3. **Note the renewal date.** Cancel before it to avoid the next charge.
4. **Remember that deleting the app isn't cancelling.** Uninstalling an app or disconnecting accounts doesn't stop billing on its own.
5. **Save the confirmation** email or screenshot.
6. **Contact the vendor's support** if you can't find the option or have a billing question.
