To connect a Facebook Page, sign in to Schedule For You, open your workspace, go to the Accounts screen and choose Facebook. Log in with Facebook, approve the permissions Meta asks for on the Pages you want to manage, then pick which Pages to add. The whole process takes a couple of minutes if you have the right access to the Page.

This guide covers what access you need first, the exact steps, and what to do when a Page doesn't appear or a connection stops working.

## Before you start: requirements

| Requirement | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| A Facebook Page (not a personal profile or Group) | Meta only allows scheduling tools to publish to Pages |
| Facebook access to the Page with full control (or admin-type permissions) | You need enough access to grant publishing permissions |
| Logged in to the right Facebook account | The Meta dialog only shows Pages that account can manage |
| A Schedule For You account | You'll connect the Page to a workspace |

### Pages only: profiles and Groups can't be connected

Schedule For You publishes to Facebook Pages. Meta doesn't allow third-party tools to post to personal profiles, and Groups aren't supported either. If you've been posting as yourself and want to schedule, you'll need a Page for your brand, business or public presence.

### Check your Page access

Pages using Meta's current Page experience give people either "Facebook access" or "task access." To connect a Page, you'll want Facebook access with full control, which is the equivalent of the old admin role. Partial access may let you post manually on Facebook but not grant the permissions a scheduling tool needs.

To check, open the Page on Facebook, go to the Page's settings and look for the section that lists people with access. If you only have partial or task access, ask someone with full control to upgrade your access.

If the Page is owned by a business portfolio in Meta Business Suite (formerly Business Manager), your role there matters too. Make sure you've been assigned to the Page with full control, not just a limited task.

## How to connect your Facebook Page

1. **Sign in.** Go to the [sign-in page](https://scheduleforyou.com/login) and sign in to Schedule For You. If you don't have an account yet, [start your 7-day free trial](https://scheduleforyou.com/signup) first.
2. **Open your workspace.** If you manage several brands or clients, pick the workspace this Page belongs to. Each workspace has its own connected accounts.
3. **Go to the Accounts screen.** Look for the section where social accounts are added.
4. **Choose Facebook.** Select Facebook from the list of platforms.
5. **Log in with Facebook.** A Meta window opens. Log in with the Facebook account that has access to your Page. If you're already logged in, confirm it's the right account.
6. **Choose Pages in Meta's dialog.** Meta asks which Pages you want to give access to. Select every Page you plan to schedule for. Pages you leave unchecked won't be available later.
7. **Approve the requested permissions.** Meta lists what the app is asking for, such as managing and publishing content on your Pages. Leave these turned on; switching them off will stop posts from publishing.
8. **Pick Pages in Schedule For You.** Back in your workspace, choose which of the authorized Pages to add as connected accounts.
9. **Confirm.** The Page now appears in your connected accounts and is available in the composer and calendar.

Connected Pages count toward your plan's connected-account limit: 15 on Solo and 100 on Studio. See [pricing](https://scheduleforyou.com/#pricing) for details.

## After connecting: your first scheduled post

Once the Page is connected, open the composer, select the Facebook Page and write your post. You can tailor the Facebook version separately from other platforms in the same post, add images or video from the media library, and pick a time or drop it into your queue. Facebook posts can be very long, up to 63,206 characters, but the first few lines matter most because longer text gets truncated in the feed.

If you'll be sharing links, our guide on [adding links to a Facebook post](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/add-links-to-facebook-post) covers how link previews behave and when to use them.

## Troubleshooting

### The Page doesn't appear in the list

This is the most common issue, and the cause is almost always Meta's selection dialog. When you first connected, the Page wasn't ticked, so Meta never gave access to it.

1. Go back to the Accounts screen and start the Facebook connection again.
2. In the Meta dialog, look for an option to edit or change your previous settings.
3. Select the missing Page (keep your other Pages selected too).
4. Approve the permissions and finish the flow.

If the Page still doesn't appear, check your access level on the Page and your role in Meta Business Suite, as described in the requirements above. You need full control, not partial or task-only access.

### You're logged in to the wrong Facebook account

The Meta window uses whichever Facebook account your browser is logged in to. If you manage Pages from a different account, log out of Facebook in that browser (or use a private window), then run the connection again and log in with the correct account.

### Permissions expired or posts started failing

Meta connections can expire or be invalidated, for example after you change your Facebook password, after a security check, when Meta updates its permission rules, or when someone removes your access to the Page. When this happens, scheduled posts to that Page will fail, and Schedule For You sends a failed-post alert so you know.

The fix is to reconnect: open the Accounts screen, start the Facebook connection again, and approve the permissions for the Page. Your connected Page should then publish normally. Reschedule any posts that failed while the connection was broken.

### A teammate connected the Page and now it's broken

The connection is tied to the Facebook account that authorized it. If that person loses access to the Page or leaves the company, the connection breaks. Reconnect using an account that will keep full control of the Page long term.

### You see an error about the Page being restricted

If Facebook has restricted the Page or it doesn't meet Meta's requirements, publishing through any tool may be blocked. Check the Page's status in Meta's account quality or Page settings and resolve the issue there first. Meta's help center at [facebook.com/help](https://www.facebook.com/help) explains Page restrictions.

## How to disconnect a Facebook Page

You can remove a Page from your workspace in the Accounts screen. That stops Schedule For You from showing it in the composer.

To fully revoke the app's access on Meta's side:

1. On Facebook, open **Settings & privacy**, then **Settings**.
2. Find **Business integrations** (it may sit under a security or apps section, depending on your version).
3. Find Schedule For You in the list and remove it, or edit which Pages it can access.

Removing the integration in Meta stops all publishing from Schedule For You to your Pages until you connect again.

## Tips for a reliable connection

- **Connect with a long-term account.** Use an account that will keep full control of the Page, ideally one owned by the business rather than a freelancer's personal login.
- **Select every Page at once.** When the Meta dialog appears, tick all the Pages you'll need now, so you don't have to rerun the flow later.
- **Use workspaces for clients.** If you manage Pages for several clients, put each client's Pages in their own workspace to keep queues, approvals and preview links separate.
- **Watch for alerts.** Failed-post alerts and the daily digest help you spot a broken connection quickly.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I connect my personal Facebook profile?

No. Meta doesn't let scheduling tools publish to personal profiles. You can connect Facebook Pages you manage. If you want to schedule posts for your brand, create a Page for it.

### Can I schedule posts to Facebook Groups?

No. Schedule For You publishes to Facebook Pages only, not Groups.

### What Page access do I need?

You need Facebook access to the Page with full control (the equivalent of the old admin role). If the Page is in a business portfolio in Meta Business Suite, you also need to be assigned to the Page with full control there.

### Why does my Page keep disconnecting?

Common reasons are a changed Facebook password, a security check, removed Page access or an updated Meta permission. Reconnect from the Accounts screen, and connect with an account that will keep full control of the Page.

### Do connected Pages count toward my plan limit?

Yes. Each connected Page counts as one connected account. Solo includes 15 connected accounts and Studio includes 100, with unlimited posts on both.

### Can I connect the same Page to more than one workspace?

Workspaces are designed to separate brands and clients, so the simplest setup is one workspace per Page owner. If you need the same Page in more than one place, check with support for how it affects your account limits.
