# How to Schedule Tweets (Posts on X): Web, Mobile and Scheduler

To schedule a tweet, open x.com in a browser, start a post, click the **calendar icon** at the bottom of the composer, pick a date and time, and click **Schedule**. The X mobile app has no scheduling option at the time of writing, so on a phone you either use the website in a mobile browser or a scheduler app.

Here's the web method step by step, where scheduled posts live, what can't be scheduled, and how a scheduler handles X together with your other accounts.

## Schedule a post on x.com

1. Go to x.com and click **Post**.
2. Write the post, add up to four images, a GIF or a video.
3. Click the **calendar icon** in the toolbar under the text.
4. Choose the date, time and time zone, then click **Confirm**.
5. Click **Schedule** instead of Post.

You can schedule up to 18 months ahead. Polls can't be scheduled, and a thread can only be scheduled as its first post.

## Where scheduled tweets live

Start a new post, click the calendar icon, then **Scheduled posts** at the top of the dialog. From there you can edit the text, change the time or delete the post. Scheduled posts don't appear on your profile until they publish.

## Scheduling tweets on mobile

The X app for iPhone and Android can't schedule. Two options:

- Open x.com in your phone's browser (request the desktop site if the calendar icon is hidden) and schedule there.
- Use a scheduler app or website that connects to X, which also lets you see the queue and edit from your phone.

## Schedule tweets with a scheduler
