To schedule a video on YouTube, upload it in YouTube Studio, go to the **Visibility** step, choose **Schedule**, and set the date and time. The video stays private until then and goes public on its own. Shorts work the same way: upload a vertical video under 3 minutes and YouTube treats it as a Short, scheduled or not.

Here are the steps on desktop and mobile, how to handle the pinned comment people ask about, and how to bulk-schedule Shorts.

## Schedule a video in YouTube Studio (desktop)

1. Go to studio.youtube.com and click **Create → Upload videos**.
2. Choose the file. Fill in the title (up to 100 characters), description (up to 5,000), thumbnail, playlist and audience settings.
3. Click through **Video elements** and **Checks**.
4. On **Visibility**, select **Schedule**, pick the date and time, and click **Schedule**.

A scheduled video shows in **Content** with a clock icon and its date. Click it to change the time or make it public now. Premieres are an option on the same screen if you want a countdown and live chat.

## Schedule a Short

Shorts are scheduled the same way. YouTube decides what counts as a Short: vertical or square, 3 minutes or less at the time of writing. Add `#Shorts` to the title or description if you want to be explicit, though YouTube no longer requires it.

## Schedule from the YouTube mobile app

1. Tap **+ → Upload a video** (or **Create a Short**).
2. Add details, then under **Visibility** choose **Schedule** and set the time.

The mobile app's options are fewer than Studio's; thumbnails and end screens are easier on desktop.

## Pinned comment on a scheduled video

You can't pin a comment before the video is public, because comments don't exist yet. Two workarounds:

- Schedule the video, then set a reminder for the publish time and post and pin the comment right after. Schedule For You can email you before a scheduled post goes out.
- Put the link or note you wanted to pin in the first line of the description instead, where it's visible immediately.

## Bulk-schedule Shorts and videos with a scheduler

Studio schedules one upload at a time. If you post Shorts daily, or the same clips go to TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook, a scheduler saves the repeated uploads.

In Schedule For You, YouTube connects with Google's sign-in:

1. Drop in a batch of videos in **Bulk schedule**. Each gets its own title, description and privacy (public, unlisted or private), and the posting slots fill in order.
2. Or create one post with the video and select YouTube plus TikTok, Instagram and Facebook; each platform gets its own caption.
3. YouTube decides whether a vertical video is a Short, exactly as it does for a Studio upload.

The [YouTube scheduler page](https://scheduleforyou.com/youtube) lists what's supported, and the [YouTube title checker](https://scheduleforyou.com/tools/youtube-title-checker) keeps titles inside 100 characters.
