# How to See Your Watch History on TikTok (and Clear Search History)

To see your watch history on TikTok, open your **Profile**, tap the **menu** (three lines, top right), go to **Settings and privacy**, then **Activity center**, then **Watch history**. You'll see the videos you've watched recently, newest first, and you can tap any of them to play it again. The list lives in the mobile app; the TikTok website doesn't reliably show the same page.

## Where TikTok keeps your activity

Menus move between app versions. If Watch history isn't where these steps say, update the app and look in **Activity center** first, then any **Content** or **Activity** group in Settings.

## How to see your TikTok watch history

1. Open TikTok and tap **Profile** in the bottom right.
2. Tap the **menu** icon (three lines) in the top right.
3. Tap **Settings and privacy**.
4. Tap **Activity center**.
5. Tap **Watch history**.

The list goes back a limited time, around 180 days according to most guides at the time of writing. If a video was deleted by its creator or set to private, it disappears from your history too.

## How to clear or turn off watch history

To clear everything, open **Watch history**, tap the **gear** icon and choose **Clear history**. To remove only some videos, tap **Select**, pick the ones you want gone and delete them.

To stop TikTok adding new videos to the list, switch off the **Watch history** toggle on the same settings page. Turning it off hides the list from you; it doesn't stop TikTok using what you watch to shape your For You feed. ## How to clear your TikTok search history

1. Tap the **search** icon (magnifying glass) at the top of the For You feed.
2. Your recent searches appear under the search bar.
3. Tap the **X** next to a single search to remove it, or tap **Clear all** (sometimes **See more** first) to wipe the list.

Clearing search history removes the list on your device and account. It doesn't remove trending suggestions TikTok shows to everyone; those come from "You may like," which you can turn off separately.

## How to find saved videos on TikTok

Saved videos are on your own profile:

1. Tap **Profile**.
2. Tap the **bookmark** tab, the one with the flag-shaped icon, under your bio.
3. Choose **Posts** to see videos, or switch to collections, sounds, effects or products you've saved.

Liked videos sit under the **heart** tab. That tab is private by default, but you can make it visible in **Settings and privacy > Privacy > Liked videos**.

## If watch history is missing or empty

- **Update the app.** The feature and its location have changed several times.
- **Check the toggle.** If Watch history was switched off, nothing new is recorded.
- **Use the app, not a browser.** The desktop and mobile web versions don't show the same page.
- **Request your data.** For a full record, go to **Settings and privacy > Account > Download your data**. The export includes viewing activity and arrives as a file within a few days.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can other people see my TikTok watch history?
No. Your watch history is visible only to you. Creators can see who viewed their profile if you both have profile views turned on, but not which of their videos you watched. ### How far back does TikTok watch history go?
Around 180 days at the time of writing. For anything older, use Download your data, which can include more of your viewing activity.

### Does clearing watch history reset my For You page?
No. Clearing the list hides it from you, but TikTok still uses your activity for recommendations. Use the refresh option in Content preferences if you want a fresh feed.

### Can I see my watch history on a computer?
Not reliably. The full Watch history page is in the iPhone and Android apps. On a computer, use Download your data instead.
