## Facebook at a glance

| What | Detail |
| --- | --- |
| Post text | Up to 63,206 characters |
| Media | Up to 10 photos, or a video |
| Account | Facebook Pages you manage |
| Not supported | Personal profiles and Groups |

## What you can schedule on Facebook
Schedule For You publishes to Facebook Pages, the public presence that businesses, creators and organizations use. Each post can be one of three types.

### Text posts
Write as much as you need. Facebook allows up to 63,206 characters in a post, so length is rarely the constraint. Readability is: the feed cuts long posts off with a "See more" link.

### Photo posts
Attach up to 10 images to a single post. That's handy for event recaps, product ranges and before-and-after sets where one picture doesn't tell the story.

### Video posts
Attach a video and it's uploaded to your Page with your text as the description.

### Links in posts
You can include a link in the text of any post. Our guide on [adding links to a Facebook post](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/add-links-to-facebook-post) covers what tends to work and how link previews behave.

## How it works
1. **Connect your Page.** Go to the Accounts screen, choose Facebook, sign in with Meta and select the Pages you manage. Our step-by-step guide to [connecting a Facebook Page](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/connect-facebook-page) walks through the permissions screen.
2. **Write your post.** Draft your text and attach images or a video. Add other platforms if the same update belongs there too.
3. **Tailor the Facebook version.** Facebook gives you room to explain. You might write a fuller, conversational version here while keeping your X version tight. Changes on the Facebook tab stay on Facebook.
4. **Pick a time or add it to the queue.** Choose an exact time for announcements, or add everyday posts to the queue to fill your next open slot.

## Features that suit Facebook Pages
Facebook Pages are often run by more than one person, or managed on behalf of a business owner. That's where the workflow tools help most.

### Workspaces for each business
Keep each business in its own workspace with its own queue, calendar, media library and plan. If you manage Pages for a bakery and a gym, their posts never end up in the same view.

### Approvals and client preview links
Share a preview link and the business owner can approve or comment on a post without signing up. You see their feedback before anything is published.

### Team members on the Studio plan
Studio includes team members, so colleagues can draft and schedule posts in the same workspace.

### Repeating and evergreen posts
Opening hours reminders, booking links and seasonal promotions can be set to repeat, or recycled as evergreen posts, so the Page stays active between bigger updates.

### Signatures
Add a standard sign-off, such as a booking link or a phone number, as a signature that's appended to posts automatically.

## Tips for Facebook Page posts
- **Front-load the useful part.** Put the date, the offer or the question in the first sentence, before the "See more" cut-off.
- **Use photo sets deliberately.** Lead with your strongest image. The first picture or two carry most of the post in the feed.
- **Keep your Page details current.** If your hours or name change, update the Page itself in Facebook too, not just your posts.
- **Watch for reconnect alerts.** If someone changes the Facebook password or removes permissions, a scheduled post can fail. Schedule For You alerts you and prompts you to reconnect from the Accounts screen.

## Frequently asked questions
### Can Schedule For You post to my personal Facebook profile?
No. It publishes to Facebook Pages only. Personal profiles and Facebook Groups can't be connected, in line with what Facebook allows third-party tools to do.

### Can I schedule posts to Facebook Groups?
No. Groups aren't supported. You can share a Page post into a Group from Facebook itself after it's published.

### How many photos can one Facebook post have?
Up to 10 images in a single post. Alternatively, attach a video instead of images.

### Can I manage several Facebook Pages?
Yes. Connect every Page you manage. Solo includes 15 connected accounts and Studio includes 100 per workspace. You can use separate workspaces for different clients; each workspace has its own plan.

### Can I post the same update to Instagram at the same time?
Yes, if your Instagram Business or Creator account is connected too. Select both, then tailor each version. Instagram needs at least one image or video.

### Why can't I post on Facebook at all?
That's usually an account or Page restriction rather than a scheduling problem. Our guide on [why you can't post on Facebook](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/why-cant-i-post-on-facebook) covers the official ways to check and fix it.
