| Update text | Up to 1,500 characters |
| Media | One image (no video) |
| Extras | Optional button link |
| Account | Owner or manager of a verified Business Profile |

## What you can schedule on Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile posts appear on your business listing in Google Search and Maps. They're a simple way to show people who are already looking for you what's new. Schedule For You publishes updates with three parts.

### Text
Up to 1,500 characters. Shorter usually works better: the listing shows only the start of the post, so lead with what matters.

### One image
Attach one image per post. A clear photo of the product, the dish or the space works better than a busy graphic.

### An optional button link
Add a link to show a button with the post, sending people to your booking page, menu, product or offer.

### What isn't supported
Video isn't supported for Google Business Profile posts in Schedule For You. Use an image instead.

## How it works
1. **Connect your profile.** Open the Accounts screen, choose Google Business Profile and sign in with the Google account that manages the business. Our guide to [connecting Google Business Profile](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/connect-google-business-profile) walks through each step.
2. **Write the post.** Draft your update and attach an image. If you're announcing the same news on Facebook and Instagram, select those accounts too.
3. **Tailor the Google version.** Keep it factual and local: what's happening, when and where. Add the button link. Your social versions can stay more casual.
4. **Pick a time or add it to the queue.** Schedule an announcement for a specific day, or add everyday updates to your queue.

## Features that help local businesses
### Post once for search and social
A café announcing a new menu or a salon opening extra appointments usually wants the news on Google, Facebook and Instagram. Write it once, tailor each version and publish everywhere from one calendar.

### Repeating posts
Regular events and reminders, like a weekly special or monthly workshop, can be set to repeat so your listing stays current.

### Workspaces for multiple locations or clients
Agencies and multi-location businesses can keep each profile in its own workspace, with separate queues and media libraries. Each workspace has its own plan, so locations you manage together can also share one workspace.

### Client approvals
Send a preview link so the business owner can approve or comment on a post without an account.

### Failed-post alerts
Google access can be revoked, for example after a password change or if a manager is removed. You'll get an alert and a prompt to reconnect from the Accounts screen.

## Tips for Google Business Profile posts
- **Answer "why now?".** Customers see posts while deciding where to go, so make each one about something timely: a new item, an event or a seasonal change.
- **Use your own photos.** Real photos of your business look more trustworthy on a listing than stock images.
- **Pick the right link.** Point the button at the page that completes the action, such as a booking form, rather than your homepage.
- **Keep listing details current.** Posts don't update your hours, phone number or address. Change those in your profile itself, following [Google's Business Profile help](https://support.google.com/business).
- **Post regularly.** A listing with recent updates shows the business is active. A simple weekly rhythm is easy to keep with a queue.
