Select several Instagram accounts in one post, tailor the caption for each, and let Schedule For You publish your photos, Reels and carousels on time.

## How to post to multiple Instagram accounts in one go
With Schedule For You you can post to multiple Instagram accounts from a single post: connect the accounts, select the ones you want as targets, and schedule. Each account publishes at the time you pick, with its own version of the caption if you want one.

1. **Connect your Instagram accounts.** From the Accounts screen, sign in through Meta and choose which Business or Creator accounts to add.
2. **Start a post and attach media.** One image becomes a feed photo, one video becomes a Reel, and 2–10 items become a carousel.
3. **Select several Instagram accounts as targets.** Tick each account the post should go to. You can add Facebook Pages, TikTok or any other connected account in the same post.
4. **Adjust each account's caption** if the brands need different wording.
5. **Schedule it or add it to the queue.**

## What each Instagram account needs
Scheduling tools can only publish to Instagram's professional accounts, so every account you add has to meet the same requirements.

### A Business or Creator account
Personal Instagram accounts can't be connected. You can switch an account to Business or Creator in Instagram's settings; [Instagram's help center](https://help.instagram.com) has the current steps.

### A linked Facebook Page
Each Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook Page. Different Instagram accounts can be linked to different Pages, which is common when they belong to separate brands.

### Access through Meta's login
You connect through Meta's login screen and choose which accounts Schedule For You may use. If you manage accounts across several Meta business setups, make sure the person connecting has access to each one. Our guide to [connecting multiple Instagram accounts](https://scheduleforyou.com/blog/connect-multiple-instagram-accounts) covers the common snags.

## Give each Instagram account its own caption
An Instagram post to multiple accounts doesn't have to say the same thing on every profile.

### Per-account versions
Each selected account is a target with its own version of the caption. Write the main caption once, then open one account's version to change the tone, swap the hashtags or mention an offer that only applies to that brand. The other accounts keep the main caption unless you edit them too.

### Why separate captions help
Followers who see two of your accounts will notice identical posts. Different brand voices, regional details or calls to action also tend to fit their audiences better than one generic caption.

### Live character checks
Every version is checked against Instagram's 2,200-character caption limit as you type, so a long caption for one account won't slip through.

## Limits to know before you schedule
Schedule For You publishes feed content within Instagram's own rules.

| What | Limit or rule |
|---|---|
| Caption | Up to 2,200 characters per account's version |
| Carousel | 2–10 images or videos, mixed allowed |
| Feed image shape | Between 4:5 portrait and 1.91:1 landscape, at the time of writing |
| Stories | One image or video per Story, 9:16, no caption |
| First comment | Supported: set one per post, or a default per account |
| Connected accounts | 15 on Solo, 100 on Studio, across all platforms |

### Prepare images first
Schedule For You doesn't crop or resize. If an image falls outside Instagram's feed ratios, resize it with the free [Instagram photo resizer](https://scheduleforyou.com/tools/instagram-photo-resizer) before you upload.

### Every account counts toward your plan
Three Instagram accounts use three of your connected accounts. See [pricing](https://scheduleforyou.com/pricing) to choose a plan with enough room.

## Frequently asked questions
### Can you post to multiple Instagram accounts at once?
Yes, with a scheduler. In Schedule For You you select several Instagram accounts as targets in one post, and they all publish at the scheduled time.

### Can I use a different caption for each Instagram account?
Yes. Each selected account has its own caption version. Edit one account's version and the others stay as they are.

### How many Instagram accounts can I connect?
As many as your plan allows: 15 connected accounts on Solo and 100 on Studio, counted across all platforms. Each Instagram account counts as one.

### Why can't I connect my Instagram account?
The most common reasons are that it's a personal account or isn't linked to a Facebook Page. Switch it to Business or Creator, link it to a Page, then connect again through Meta's login.

### Can I schedule Reels and carousels to multiple accounts?
Yes. One video publishes as a Reel and 2–10 items publish as a carousel on every Instagram account you select.

### Can I also post to Facebook and other platforms in the same post?
Yes. Add Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok or any other connected account as targets alongside your Instagram accounts. See our [cross-posting tool](https://scheduleforyou.com/cross-posting) for how per-platform versions work.
